What is TheDSO.com? Well, it's simple. This site was started in order to bring people and restaurants together. In order to give both the restaurant and their patrons something of real value.

Personally, I love food. I especially love GOOD food. But I also love a great deal! So of course, especially at lunchtime, I'd be looking around at different restaurants in the area seeing what their specials were. Most of the time this entailed getting on the phone and calling at least 4-5 different places, then writing down what each of their specials were, then getting together with co-workers to decide who wants what from where, and hopefully coming to a decision in oh, usually a half hour or better... That meant, that along with the time waiting for our order, we had just a few minutes to actually eat it!

I decided there HAD to be a better way. And I knew there were people out there just like me and my co-workers.

I even remember many years ago when I worked in another area, several friends and I would meet for lunch a few days a week. No one could ever decide where we were eating since we had about 4-5 choices within walking distance. So what did we do? We started flipping coins! Heads we go left, tails we go right. Once that decision was made, then we would flip a coin again to decide which out of the two places we would go to, in the direction that was just decided by a coin flip.

So here you go. This is the result of my “knowing” there had to be a better way. We get restaurants to put their information here, where you, the patron, can see. They also tell us their daily specials, and we put them here and also in an e-mail that you can receive daily in our newsletter. We are also working with them to put any special “coupons” or “deals” they have on our site, and we’ll include information on what’s available in the newsletter e-mail, along with a link to take you directly to that page.

Please, look around and get a feel for our site. Also, please go to our contact us page and let us know what you think! Be nice now. If there is something you don't like, please tell us. If there's something you want to see, please tell us that too. If it’s perfect and you wouldn’t change or add a thing, tell us that too!

Also, if you don’t see one of your favorite restaurants listed, please let us know, and the next time you’re there, please let THEM know. We’ll most certainly do everything we can do to have them listed here too.
